After your self-guided tour, accompanied by the paper guide, make the pleasure last and enjoy a commented and extended tasting of three different wines carefully selected. A wine tourism mediator will introduce you to the Bordeaux vineyard and the typicity of its appellation system.
This is the ideal opportunity to ask all your questions about the visit, before tasting three wines while discovering their colour, aromatic profile, origin and blend.
Our wine selection is regularly renewed with wines from our cellar chosen to illustrate best the presentation of the vineyard.
Did you know ?
Mr de Pontac, President of the Bordeaux Parliament, owned the Haut Brion estate in the 17th century. His wines were renowned in England, so he decided to send his youngest son to London.
There he founded a trading house that was a delicatessen, a high-end tavern and a gourmet restaurant. Haut Brion wines were sold and served under the name of O’Bryan.
The tavern is frequented by the “Gentry” including the philosopher John Lock. During his trip to Bordeaux, John Lock, who was also interested in science, referred for the first time to the quality of a wine associated with a particular soil: this was the birth of the “terroir” notion…
